2023 Policy

Outdoor Lessons: 
Outdoor swimming lessons may be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the start time. If the lesson is cancelled for any reason (no show, illness, car issues, etc.), within 48 hours, the lesson will not be made up and no refund will be issued. Rescheduling outside of the 48 hours window is subject to instructor availability and is not guaranteed. Once lessons are booked, a refund will not be provided if rescheduling is not possible due to instructor/client schedule conflicts.

Group Outdoor Lessons - if you have booked as a part of a group, due to the discounts MSA offers, rescheduling individual families/swimmers will not be accommodated. The whole group will need to change their lesson to another day. 

We appreciate your consideration of the expenses incurred to keep our pools clean, heated and properly maintained, as well as our instructor's travel time and availability. In addition, we appreciate your consideration in the limited time our seasonal instructors have to teach and earn an income for their families and/or education.

Make-up lessons will be provided if there is inclement weather (please see our FAQ page for more details). Should inclement weather arise during the lesson and the lesson is less than 50% complete, the time will be made up another day. Lessons are considered complete if more than 50% of the lesson time is finished and any remaining time will not be made up or refunded. 

Indoor Lessons: 
Indoor lessons can not be rescheduled for any reason (vacation, illness, car/traffic issues, etc.). Should Marlin Swim Academy need to cancel due to extenuating circumstances, every effort will be made to provide a substitute instructor, unless there is an unforeseen pool closure. If this is not possible, a make-up day or, where applicable, a refund will be provided. We appreciate your consideration of our rental fees being paid in advance and the loss of business resulting from last minute cancellations.

First Aid Courses:
First aid courses must be paid for up front for all candidates and are non-refundable. Private courses may be rescheduled within 6 weeks of the original booking. We appreciate your understanding that course material, including any manuals and individual-use first aid items, are ordered from the supplier in advance, specifically for your course.

​Advanced Leadership Courses:
Advanced Leadership courses must be paid for up front for all candidates and are non-refundable. Private courses may be rescheduled within 6 weeks of the original booking.
