Do you teach first aid?Yes, we have many courses to choose from, including those that are approved by WSIB. Check out First Aid page for more information.
-
Why do you have two booking portals? We have two booking portals that serve two different functions. Unfortunately, neither does everything we need in order to offer the most flexibility with our programs. Marketbox - Our mobile system uses GPS to help with instructor travel time. This is what our mobile team uses to keep track of individual lesson bookings and allow for easier rescheduling for clients to work around vacations and make up lessons due to weather cancellations. Jackrabbit - Our new indoor software system that allows for group lesson registration, skill tracking and permanent location options.
-
Do swimming lessons still run in the rain?Yes, our outdoor lessons run, rain or shine. If there is thunder, lightening or other inclement weather before your lesson, your instructor may contact you to cancel and we will do our best to reschedule the lesson(s). If thunder is heard while the lesson is ongoing, your instructor is under strict orders to clear the pool and exit promptly. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure the swimmers vacate the pool as well. If the ongoing lesson is less than 50% complete, the missed time will be added to a future lesson. If the ongoing lesson is more than 50% complete, it will be considered a completed lesson.
-
When will my instructor contact me to cancel for inclement weather?Within 30 minutes of your lesson start time.
-
How do I get in touch with my instructor? You may contact your instructor on days when you have a lesson booked. Phone numbers can be found on your booking portal. On days where you do not have a lesson booked, please contact the MSA office at 905-572-1760.

How many kids can be in the lesson at once? After 25 years of teaching swimming lessons, we have found that the best way to ensure client satisfaction is through private lessons. Backyard lessons can be a super fun activity for friends and we take the awkwardness out of having your friend's child at a different level than yours. We ensure everyone's success by keeping the classes very small so they can be perfectly personalized. Children who are 3+ and more than a year apart, even though they may both be "beginners", are at different developmental stages and will progress differently. Please consider this before booking siblings together as we my not have the space to accommodate separate lessons once the season has started. This may be something you just need to trust us on, at first, but it will be worth it! The only exception to this is those who wish to participate in a Parent and Tot group class, where parents join in. This is an option for children under 3 years of age. Please inquire for pricing.
