  • How do I register if I don't know what level my child is in?
Please contact us to discuss your child's swimming abilities and/or to book a free assessment.
  • Will my child receive a report card?
Yes, all swimmers will receive a report card at the end of their lessons. Successful swimmers also receive a badge!
  • What programs do you teach?
Marlin Swim Academy is an affiliate member of the Lifesaving Society so we teach the Swim for Life program. This includes levels from Parent and Tot up to National Lifeguard and beyond! We also teach our own Infant Survival Program, designed to help children 6 months to 2 years know what to do if they fall into water unattended. Finally, we have a "learn at your own pace" Adult Learn to Swim program.
  • May I reschedule my swimming lessons?
Please see our Cancellation/Refund policy located here.
  • I am having a hard time getting in touch with the office. What should I do?
We are one of few private swim companies where ALL members of our team are instructors. We just LOVE to teach!! It is possible that you have tried to reach us at a time where no one is available to take your call. Please leave us a message and a member of the team will return your call as quickly as possible.
  • I prefer to hire local. Is this a locally owned company?
Yes, all instructors hired by MSA are local to their travel areas. When you hire from Marlin Swim Academy, you are directly supporting your neighbours!
  • Do you teach first aid?
Yes, we have many courses to choose from, including those that are approved by WSIB. Check out First Aid page for more information.
  • Do swimming lessons still run in the rain?
Yes, our outdoor lessons run, rain or shine. If there is thunder, lightening or other inclement weather before your lesson, your instructor may contact you to cancel and we will do our best to reschedule the lesson(s). If thunder is heard while the lesson is ongoing, your instructor is under strict orders to clear the pool and exit promptly. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure the swimmers vacate the pool as well. If the ongoing lesson is less than 50% complete, the missed time will be added to a future lesson. If the ongoing lesson is more than 50% complete, it will be considered a completed lesson.
  • When will my instructor contact me to cancel for inclement weather?
Within 30 minutes of your lesson start time.
  • How do I get in touch with my instructor?
You may contact your instructor on days when you have a lesson booked. Phone numbers can be found on your booking portal. On days where you do not have a lesson booked, please contact the MSA office at 905-572-1760.
  • Do you offer lifeguarding for private parties?
Our 2023 season is fully booked!
